Brave Quakers tame Tigers

THREE debutants got the goals as Darlington began their campaign with a win against Gloucester City.
They had to overcome an unconvincing start but once Quakers bedded in their new recruits and new formation they were worthy winners.
Jacob Hazel, who has arrived from Whitby Town, scored just before halftime. It came after goalkeeper Brandon Hall had darted out of his area to intercept Jack Lambert’s pass, but the ball fell for Darlington’s new No. 9 to loft the ball into an empty net from well outside the penalty box.
