Sports’ barrage makes short work of Hoops

THREE goals in the opening halfhour saw Eastbourne Borough storm to a win against Oxford City, a repeat of last season’s play-off eliminator in which the Hoops came out victorious.
It was a disastrous start for the hosts, who conceded a penalty within four minutes as Canice Carroll handled in the box.James Hammond stepped up for the Sports, slamming down the middle to give them the lead.City responded to going behind but were unable to carve anything clear cut.
