Hawks leave Beavers beaten

HAVANT AND WATERLOOVILLE continued their unbeaten start after an entertaining contest against Hampton & Richmond Borough.
Havant took the lead against the run of play in the sixth minute when Jake McCarthy escaped a pair of defenders on the edge of the box and fired beyond Mark Smith from close range.
The early setback did little to deter the Beavers, and they were level midway through the half when a clever set-piece move ended with Tommy Wood finding the back of the net.
