Romans’ raid leaves Clarets flat

CHELMSFORD CITY’S run of home defeats continued as early and late strikes stunned the Clarets at the Melbourne Stadium.
After a bright start, Chelmsford fell behind to Bath’s first shot. Luke Spokes found space down the right and Scott Wilson’s unerring finish beat City keeper Jacob Marsden.
Chelmsford then dominated possession and Bath were content to sit behind the ball and wait for the counter to pick them off. Cody Cooke almost did so after robbing Dave Winfield but Marsden tipped his shot wide.
