TAUNTON TOWN got their second season in the Vanarama National League South off to a successful start with victory over their Essex visitors. The result was no more than Taunton deserved as they were the better side for long periods after they fought back from conceding a fluke early goal, debutant home keeper Dan Lavercombe’s poor clearance rebounding off incoming Braintree striker Nnamdi Nwachuku and flying back past him into an empty net.
