A SIJU ODELUSI-inspired performance helped Aveley win at this level of Non-League football for the first time ever.
After 20 minutes Aveley were awarded a penalty after Matt Rush was up-ended by Evans in the box as he tried to turn and fire at goal. Siju Odelusi stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong.
The hosts almost doubled their lead as Matt Rush weaved his way past a player and fired at goal but saw it smack the post and bounce away to safety.
