Thomas sends City to the table’s summit

WELLING UNITED again showed a lack of bite up front as they fell to defeat at home to Bath City.
Ben Winterbottom pushed away an early shot by Scott Wilson that appeared to be going wide before Ollie Wright, the Romans’ goalkeeper, made his first save from a shot by Dominic Odusanya.
In the 20th minute, Bath scored the crucial goal. Ewan Clark found space down the right hand side and crossed. Wilson could only get a touch on it and it fell for Jordan Thomas to fire it home from a tight angle via the underside of the bar.
