Match Preview: Truro City v Dover Athletic (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Truro City host Dover Athletic on Tuesday at Manadon Sports Hub in the National League South.

In their last league match, on Saturday, Truro beat Maidstone United 3-1 at home.

Dover lost, 1-0 away at Hampton and Richmond.

Dover are bottom of the table after 44 games, of which they have won four and drawn 15, earning 27 points.

Truro are seven places ahead of Athletic in 17th, with 14 wins and nine draws putting them on 51 points.

City are in disappointing form in the National League South, with one win and two draws from their last six games.

And also with a win and two draws over that period, the Whites’ form is identical – they have both taken five points from 18.

With 39 goals in 44 games so far this season, the away side are the league’s lowest scorers with 0.9 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 73 goals at a rate of 1.7 per game.

The hosts are also below average scorers, with 1.3 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.4. They have conceded 1.5 goals per game.
