Sam Youngs’ first-half penalty earned a depleted Enfield Town a much-needed win against out-of-sorts Farnborough.
Town manager Gavin Macpherson had to re-organise not once but twice before kick-off but his makeshift side did him proud and should have been out of sight by half-time.
Jack Turner twice saved Farnborough with fine stops while a ferocious Bayley Brown effort was cleared off the line.
On 14 minutes, Brown forced into way into the box and was chopped down by Olly Pendlebury. Up stepped Youngs to send Turner the wrong way.
