WEYMOUTH finally secured their first home victory of the season with a stylish and comprehensive win over fellow strugglers Welling United.
Warren Feeney’s men were winless in 14 home league games but a stunner from Brooklyn Genesini and Jake McCarthy’s astute finish from a tight angle put them 2-0up after 29 minutes.
Welling had dominated up to then and their response was rapid as James Alabi, who had already seen a goal ruled out for offside, headed in off the bar just three minutes later.
