HARRY BEADLE and Junior Nkwonta were on target for Aveley at Salisbury.
Salisbury started well and Josh Hedges shot just over the bar inside the first six minutes.
Aveley gained a foothold. Jack McDowell saw his half-volleyed effort fly the wrong side of the bar from his perspective, after he was first to a long throw.
Then it was the team from Essex that went the closest to opening the scoring.
David Kawa was quickest to a loose ball and skipped past two Salisbury bodies before Rhys Byrne saved well.
