A NATHAN Minhas goal was enough to send Torquay to their first defeat in six games.
In a tight first half the visitors had two early efforts but Sam Dreyer and Sonny Blu Lo-Everton were both off target. Chesham came close to an opener but Connor Roberts was denied by a fine save from keeper James Hamon on 25 minutes, tipping round the post a low shot.
On 36 minutes Chesham scored the only goal following a neat corner routine which ended with Minhas firing into the net from just inside the area.
