Adam Hinshelwood took Worthing into the National League for the first time in their history, admitting it was ‘stressful but so, so worthwhile to be able to see us compete at the top level of Non-League football’.
Worthing have had their near misses over the past few seasons, but the title was theirs after goals either side of half-time sealed top spot – and in the process ended Ebbsfleet United’s play-off hopes.
