■BASINGSTOKE won a typical midtable end-of-season affair on a hard, bumpy pitch in St Ives.
Matt Partridge was the match winner for the Dragons when he reacted quickest to ram a loose ball home while the Ives defence stood statuesque when Joe Gater’s header from a Sam Deadfield free-kick rebounded off the crossbar after 65 minutes.
