HISTON deserved all three points from a game in which they went all out to win.
The visitors took an early lead after nine minutes, with some neat intricate play leading Matty Allan to slot home.
If anything, the second goal on 19 minute was even better as Max York chested and volleyed into the top corner.
Ashford created two good chances but goalkeeper Ayden Duffy was on fire, though they scored from Romario Jonas’ header from a set-piece.
