THE very late arrival of spring allowed the Ives to play their first Saturday home game since late February.
But it was the visiting Magpies who went home with the spoils completing only their second away win on the road thanks to two early goals from Ashley Pope.
Pope’s first arrived in only the third minute, thanks to a perfect pass from Kyle Egan which put the striker clear through the left channel and he made no mistake past the exposed Tim Trebes.
