STATISTICS are often a good guide in football and in four and a half hours this season St Neots have scored just two goals – one of those by a defender from a set piece.
Rushall probably just deserved their win because having accepted a gift goal they showed just how to defend and make their slender advantage count.
St Neots shaded the first half with the better chances in an entertaining contest but having gone behind Rushall showed a total lack of ambition and desire to compete and instead defended their lead.
