MERTHYR ran out convincing winners over Gosport with the outcome rarely in doubt following a blistering 20-minute spell.
Merthyr were deservedly 3-1 up by the break after racing into a three-goal lead in the opening quarter.
Corey Jenkins got the first from close range on ten minutes befor Ian Traylor capitalised on a defensive mix-up to double Merthyr’s advantage six minutes later.
When Tom Meecham’s cross was headed in smartly by Kerry Morgan on 20 it looked like game over for Borough.
