BANBURY took on second-placed Kettering looking to continue their six-game unbeaten run.
Banbury’s first attack after 18 minutes saw Greg Kaziboni get in a shot but it was blocked.
Banbury got their second chance when Steve Diggin swivelled round and fired over.
But after 39 minutes Banbury won a corner from Ravi Shamsi and Charlie Wise rose to head home.
Kettering’s Marcus Kelly had a great chance to equalise on 42 minutes but Manny Agboola saved.
