THE Whites were second best to a Gosport Borough side desperately trying to avoid relegation and the visitors deservedly took the points. There is still a points cushion which should see Salisbury into a play-off place, but on this showing the season is likely to end in disappointment.
Borough started the brighter and on 13 minutes should have gone ahead but Sam Roberts put a simple volley over the top from close in.
