A FIRST-HALF Mikey Taylor goal saw Bromsgrove Sporting record their first home win of the season.
The game’s only goal came 14 minutes in as a Chris Lait cross was slotted into the back of the net by the Sporting striker.
Rushden captain Tom Lorraine had an early effort saved by Daniel Platt, which was followed by the goal six minutes later.
Lait forged up the wing and his inviting ball into the six yard box was duly knocked in by Taylor.
