CHESHAM will be the far happier of the two sides to have taken something from this encounter after playing for more than half the game with only ten men.
The home side almost got away to the perfect start in the second minute when the Chesham defence failed to deal with a Joe Tumelty free-kick and Andy Lewis’ shot from outside the box grazed the bar.
Then, as Yate dithered in defence at the other end, Brandon Barzey took the ball away from Will Tunnicliff only to scuff his shot and present Andy Hannah with a comfortable save.
