A RAMPANT second-half display earned Hitchin their best home win of the season and was a huge stride towards easing relegation worries.
It took a large slice of the first half before this match took on a lively aspect.
The hosts looked marginally stronger, with early chances for Malaki Black and Callum Stead, and it was the latter who opened the scoring with a fine individual effort close to the interval, with his low shot beating James Goff.
