RUSHDEN & Diamonds held on to claim all three points at Alvechurch, cutting the gap to the playoff places.
The Diamonds got off to the best possible start when on two minutes a deep Ravin Shamsi free kick was flicked on by Ty Deacon for Liam Dolman to poke the ball in at the back post.
Alvechurch then drew level after 15 minutes when a right-wing cross from Sam McLintock was headed home by new signing Ryan Nesbitt.
