AN INTENSE pressing game from Royston saw them emerge as worthy winners with Brandon Adams and Matthew Bateman both on target.
The visitors started with intent as Brooklyn Ilunga blazed over after just four minutes, before a left-sided cross was tucked away by Adams after 11 minutes.
Despite the opening tempo, the game soon became scrappy with the Pitmen struggling to create chances and Royston looking both efficient and strong. jury. But Ilunga could have doubled the lead before the break when he fired over from a good opening.
