THE saturated water table of the River Brent came to Hanwell’s rescue against an impressive Chesham as the match was abandoned with the visitors leading 3-0.
Chesham played some slick football early on and, in the fifth minute, Ricardo German looked certain to score only for Bernie Tanner’s sliding challenge to save the day for Hanwell.
