HENDON were indebted to striker Niko Muir as his second-half double brought them all three points against Basingstoke Town.
The closest to a first-half goal came in the last minute, when Ben Cook had a clear chance, but the recovering Dave Diedhiou saved Hendon’s bacon with a brave block.
Billy Upton hit the top of the Hendon bar and Dan Rowe floated a shot over the bar as Basingstoke started the second half brightly and Rowe almost reached a deep left-wing cross.
