SWINDON SUPERMARINE players will have left the pitch at the final whistle wondering how they did not gain their first win of the season.
The reality is the result was determined by a combination of their own profligacy and a brilliant display of goalkeeping by the visitors’ Sam Beasant.
In the first half the Geordies stopper produced a string of saves from goalbound efforts from Marine’s Zack Kotwica, Levi Irving, Brad Gray and Joe Tumelty. He also produced numerous fine saves in the second half.
