THE two bottom teams in the form table (for past ten games) faced each other with Poole falling to their 11th defeat in their past 12 league games.
The first half was a fairly even encounter which was goalless until Sholing broke down the left with Jake Hesketh cutting in and shooting from the edge of the box. Lloyd Thomas should have saved but let the ball go under him and trickle in.
