EAGLES STAY TOP DESPITE SCARE FROM 10-MAN SUDS

BEDFORD Town managed to survive a late scare against ten-man AFC Sudbury to stay at the top of the Southern League Premier Division Central.
The home side started the better of the two teams and Joe Neal latched on to a poor bacpass by Ellis Bates and went around goalkeeper Jameson Horlick, however Carl Mensah managed to catch up with Neal.
With 35 minutes played, chaos ensued in the penalty area as Charlie Lewis was judged to have handled on the line, receiving a straight red card, and a penalty was awarded to the visitors.
