HITCHIN’S relegation was finally confirmed. And on this performance, they did not deserve to keep alive their survival hopes.
Although it was never going to be a classic, the visitors were also in need of maximum points in their own battle against the drop.
It took over half an hour for either side to construct a shot on goal and both teams were resorting to the hopeful long ball forward.
The visitors seemed marginally the more enterprising side but they failed to break free of the clogged midfield.
