SWINDON Supermarine claimed a crucial victory over Frome Town in a tense relegation battle on a stiflingly hot spring day. The result provided a significant boost to Supermarine’s survival hopes, as both sides fight to avoid relegation.
The first half was a tense affair. Supermarine were awarded a penalty in the 22nd minute, but Frome keeper Kyle Phillips saved the spot-kick. Frome came close in the 33rd minute, with Zak Drew’s sharp shot on the turn striking the crossbar.
