ALVECHURCH put an end to their winless streak with an emphatic victory over a disorganised Hitchin Town side.
The hosts took the lead in the 16th minute when Callum Sullivan powered his way into the box before unleashing a powerful strike across goal and into the bottom-right corner. It took just seven minutes for Alvechurch to double their lead as Finn Howell’s wayward effort was diverted past the visiting goalkeeper from close range by Kieran Wakefield.
