FOUR games in eight days caught up with the Bards as they ran out of steam in the final 15 minutes to squander a two-goal lead against battling Ives, who end their season unbeaten in five to secure a tenth season at Step 3.
The in-form Charlie Williams claimed his fourth goal in less than 48 hours when he put the visitors in front from the spot after eagle eyed referee Joshua Evans had spotted an infringement inside Ives’ box as they dealt with Lewis Ludford-Ison’s long throw midway through the first half.
