POOLE faced Chertsey in the final game of the season with both teams going into the game knowing they could still fall into the final two relegation places.
However, the hosts made certain of their safety with victory with Chertsey also avoiding the drop.
Poole took the lead after 18 minutes when Tyrqique Clarke crossed the ball in Ezio Touray for a simple finish.
Touray was denied a second just afterwards when Clarke put him through but Josh Strizovic made an excellent save.
