CHERTSEY got their league campaign underway with a confident opening-day victory.
The visitors’ goals both came in the second half, courtesy of Jack Mazzone and Oliver McCoy, after Josh Gallagher’s side found an extra gear following the break.
Their only frustration came late on, as substitute Jermaine Micah Green was shown a red card in stoppage time for a reckless challenge on Corey Hayden Koerner.
