SPALDING United completed a derby double to stay on top of the table while sending neighbours Stamford to the bottom.
The Tulips were rewarded for a swift start, scoring twice inside the opening 16 minutes to leave the Daniels – with five defeats in their last six away games – playing catch-up.
They started brightly before falling behind in the fifth minute when Yusifu Ceesay cut inside from the left and bent a perfectly-placed shot out of Tom Jackson’s reach.
