LEISTON made light of their long-distance journey by taking an early lead when Eddie Jackson headed home from a Harvey Sayer free-kick inside the opening three minutes.
The goal only fired up Stourbridge, who responded with a string of chances as they laid siege to Leiston’s goal.
Full-back Josh Quaynor struck Leiston’s post after six minutes before the pacey Charlie Pavey got behind the Suffolk side’s defence and crossed for Charlie Wragg, who couldn’t convert when in front of goal.
