BOWERS & Pitsea secured local bragging rights with a massive win over Basildon United to move to the top of the Bostik North table.
The visitors took the lead after 11 minutes when Andy Wilton fired a ball over the top which Lewis Manor flicked on perfectly for David Knight to volley home.
The lead was doubled when Quentin Monville slotted home from close range courtesy of a perfect assist from teammate Knight just before the break.
