POTTERS BAR produced a dominant firsthalf performance to withstand a terrific second half from ten-man Merstham in a dramatic encounter.
The visitors took the lead on two minutes, Josh Hutchinson firing home after a simple flick on from a header.
Hutchinson headed home his and Bar’s second on 25 minutes when he was first to react to a near-post header.
And things went from bad to worse for the Moatsiders, four minutes later, when Omar Folkes was sent off for retaliation.
The visitors should have added to their lead before the break.
