NOT even points deductions can stop Maldon & Tiptree as Jorome Slew’s superb brace helped the Isthmian North leaders see off second-placed Aveley.
The Jammers were deducted three points this week for fielding an ineligible player, leaving them locked on 34 points with Aveley ahead of kick-off.
And despite the Millers starting brightly, Slew struck either side of the break to help Wayne Brown’s men seal a 13th win from 14 games of a remarkable campaign.
