Binfield 0-1 Basingstoke Town: Armsworth’s header sees off the Moles

BASINGSTOKE TOWN got their season off to the perfect start with a narrow victory at Binfield.

Scott Armsworth’s header would prove to be the difference, it was a powerful finish from Ben Cook’s corner, but Callum Bunting proceeded to miss two golden opportunities to level the score before the half-time interval.
Ollie Harris had earlier clipped the Basingstoke post with a long-range freekick.
In the second half, Binfield’s Sean Moore fired over when well-placed inside the box and two headers from Binfield set-pieces went narrowly off target.
