■ VCD inflicted a sec-ond successive heavy home defeat on an inexperienced Hythe side.
The visitors’ pace was a problem all afternoon, as reflected in the breakaway opening goal, with Youssef Bamba leaving several defenders in his way and finishing with a clinical strike on 25 minutes.
A second goal just before half-time came from a far post header from Anthony Adesite. Hythe’s youngsters kept running but hit a solid defence. VCD keeper Sam Mott only had a couple of saves to make, both from George Sibley shots.
