■ BARKING bounced back from defeat with victory against Maldon.
It was Maldon who took the lead with a fortunate penalty call as Shad Ngandu ran across Jess Norey. Nqandu netted, despite James Shaw’s efforts.
Barking’s bitterness subsided five minutes into the second half when George Purcell produced an acrobatic turn and shot. The Barking comeback was complete as Freddie Parker found space in the box to chest down and he duly poked the ball in. Barking doubled their lead after 72 minutes after Purcell was fouled.
