■ STOWMARKET looked for the early lead and saw a Reggie Thompson-Lambe goal disallowed after just five minutes for a foul.
The hosts’ first chance arrived ten minutes later, but George Allen struck over from five yards.
The deadlock was broken after 21 minutes, however, as George Bugg slotted home after latching on to a perfect through-ball.
