A HARD-FOUGHT battle ended goalless as VCD Athletic were held at home by Herne Bay.
Despite having most of the possession in the first period, VCD failed to put a single shot on target.
Herne Bay did get a couple of efforts on target but with not enough conviction to open the scoring.
The game was dominated by the two sides’ defences with neither goalkeeper being called into meaningful action.
