■ ROMFORD’S awful season took a turn for the even worse as Bury Town ran riot, inflicting Boro’s worst defeat of the season.
For 40 minutes, Romford kept the visitors at bay, albeit that Josh Blackburn had to save well at the feet of Clinton Frank.
Ryan Jolland curled a shot home to give Bury the lead, and almost straight from the kick-off, Dan Gilchrist doubled Bury’s lead. In the final minute of the half Max Maughn scored the first of his four.
