A GOAL ten minutes nfrom time from Joe Gator earned Binfield a narrow victory at Ashford.
The heat played a part in this opening league game, sapping the energy of both teams, and the first half was a stalemate, with only a couple of chances at either end.
After the break, the contest also got heated with a few yellow cards coming out. Ashford went close to breaking the deadlock just after the hour mark, Yakubu firing wide after being put through by Mbengui. The visitors grabbed the winner after 80 minutes as the Ashford defence switched off ...
