THATCHAM and Guernsey took a point a piece on the opening day of the season after a closely fought game.
Guernsey started the game brightly while, at the other end, Thatcham’s Javin Dougan was using his pace to good effect.
The visitors came close after 25 minutes when a cross was met with a firm close range header but Jack Hopwood reacted superbly in the Thatcham goal to keep it out.
