TILBURY’S courageous efforts eventually fell short as Albert Donyinah’s winner helped New Salamis walk away with three points.
New Salamis took the lead early on with an outrageous strike from Derek Asamoah that flew into the top left corner, giving the keeper no chance of saving it.
The home side got their equaliser from a corner which found Tony Martin at the front post. His headed effort bounced off the crossbar and fell to Darnell Kithambo who fired home.
